Holder for the Anker PowerCore+ Mini (3350mAh portable charger) that attaches securely to the side of LinnStrument using the strap holders. It allows LinnStrument to be battery powered, and with a device like CME WIDI, makes it possible for LinnStrument to operate fully wirelessly.

Printed in Polymaker Polymax PLA for increased mechanical strength and rigidity and only comes in black.

This includes only the holder, no USB cables, battery, or LinnStrument. You'll reuse the guitar strap holders and screws that come with your LinnStrument.

We try to ship as soon as possible but have a limited production capability. When demand rises, shipment time will increase up to several weeks.

IMPORTANT: This product is made with FDM 3D printers. While they are of industrial quality, the finish is not as clean as with an injection molding production process. You should expect lines, banding, dots, spots, gaps, stringing, ... and other artifacts that are inherent to the 3D printing process. This doesn't influence the operation of the product and is purely esthetic.

Very nice!

Fits exactly as specified. Quick shipping and delivery. Just had to buy the referenced battery pack 2nd hand on eBay, but no big deal.

Ideal, niche addition for your ideal, niche midi controller

LinnStrument serial #00068 here.

As Joe Wall said in a previous review: this battery pack holder from Geert at Uwyn is exactly what you need for all of your wireless LinnStrument mayhem! To be clear, this is designed to hold specifically the Anker PowerCore+ Mini 3350mAh portable charger, their part #B005X1Y7I2, found online for about $20 as of this writing.

Installing both took about two minutes; once installed, it's a super-snug fit for the battery. That battery ain't moving, no matter what on-stage twirling antics you shall now do with your LinnStrument in your performances. Also, it all still fits in your LinnStrument case with the battery mounted.

Also to be clear, you need an ordinary USB cable, to connect to the USB port; then, add on a wireless bluetooth 5-Pin DIN adapter plugged in to both 5-pin I/O ports. The battery powers both the LinnStrument AND the wireless midi device. I've been using the CME WIDI Master ($59), successfully sending MIDI over Bluetooth to either my iPad or any DAW on my Mac, running various softsynths, with no dropouts. I haven't hit a point of killing the battery in any session yet, so I don't even know the lifespan between charges. The LinnStrument is set to "full" lights, so no need for the low power setting.

Please note: I probably was Uwyn's first customer of this product, but the lovely Joe Wall beat me to typing up a product review. ;)

I'll probably be back for some custom knobs for my synths next. Great stuff, Uwyn!

perfect sidecar to the Linnstrument

A real enhancement to the Linnstrument—this little clip is perfectly fitted to the little cylindrical Anker USB powerbank it was designed for, holds it snugly, and screws in neatly under the strap buttons to hold it in place.

The finish is nice, almost with a satin sheen, and I like the little engineering details, like the raised ridge that runs from the battery clip ends to just short of the attachment points to keep the whole assembly rigid.

If you're running DIN MIDI from your Linnstrument, it simplifies cabling considerably, and the battery will run the controller for a surprisingly long time when the LEDs are set to low power mode. It also allows for enough space to plug a Yamaha UD-BT01 USB Bluetooth LE MIDI adapter between the battery and the cord powering the Linnstrument for a wireless connection to BTLE-compatible devices (though it stands a little proud, so you have to be careful not to knock it loose).

Great accessory for Linnstrument power users!
